This Privacy Policy applies to Sprinkle Weather! on iPhone and Apple TV.
Overview
Sprinkle Weather! provides current weather, hourly and daily forecasts, alerts, locally generated Sprinkle Forecast briefings, and optional Sprinkle Pro features. This policy explains what the app processes and what Nikle LLC does not collect.
What Sprinkle Weather! processes on your device
- Location permission when you allow Sprinkle Weather! to request local forecasts. Location is used to fetch weather for the current area.
- Weather data returned by Apple Weather/WeatherKit, including current conditions, hourly forecasts, daily forecasts, alerts, and detailed metrics where available.
- Sprinkle Forecast context such as forecast timing and weather conditions used by local rules, templates, and formatting to create captions and the Full Brief.
- App preferences such as temperature unit choice and Pro feature availability.
- Subscription entitlements from StoreKit so the app can unlock Sprinkle Pro features.
- Recent weather data and refresh timing cached on your device to avoid unnecessary repeat requests.
Sprinkle Forecast and speech
Sprinkle Forecast captions and the Full Brief are generated locally from weather values using the app's templates, selection rules, and formatting. If narration is enabled, Apple system speech services speak that same text on your device. Sprinkle Weather! does not send briefing text or weather data to a third-party artificial intelligence service.
Weather providers
Forecast requests use Apple Weather/WeatherKit. In supported United States locations, radar, precipitation guidance, alerts, or air-quality features may also request data from public NOAA, National Weather Service, and AirNow services. Those requests may include coordinates needed to identify the requested area. Nikle LLC does not receive or store those requests.
What we do not collect
- No account creation and no Nikle LLC profile database for Sprinkle Weather!.
- No third-party analytics SDKs.
- No cross-app or cross-site tracking.
- No sale of personal information.
- No advertising network SDKs.
Subscriptions and payments
Payments are processed by Apple. Sprinkle Weather! uses non-personal subscription entitlement information from the App Store so the app can unlock Sprinkle Pro features on your device. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
Apple services
Apple Weather data, App Store purchases, subscriptions, location permission prompts, and Apple ID services are provided by Apple. For information about Apple's privacy practices, review the Apple Privacy Policy.
Your choices
- You can allow, deny, or change Sprinkle Weather! location access in Apple Settings.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.
- You can delete app data stored on your device by deleting the app.
